In a recent letter, the Special Operations Association of America (SOAA) sounded the alarm about an increased threat of Islamic terrorist attacks on the United States, attributing the danger to President Joe Biden’s foreign policy decisions and border security measures. Christopher Miller, SOAA Chairman and former Acting Secretary of Defense, expressed the organization’s grave concerns regarding the heightened risk of terrorist activities targeting the U.S. and its allies.
The SOAA, which represents elite military personnel including Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, and Green Berets, pointed to Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan as a pivotal factor in escalating the threat environment. The letter stated that the hasty pullout left the U.S. without a viable counterterrorism presence in the region, enabling terrorist groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda to strengthen and reorganize.

“The United States has lost significant intelligence collection capabilities in the region, leaving federal authorities blind and deaf to emerging threats,” the letter emphasized. It highlighted the resurgence of terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and noted successful attacks by ISIS in Iran and Russia, suggesting a growing danger to the U.S.
The SOAA’s warning also underscored the implications of an unsecured southern border.
